LAHORE, Feb 25: Four-goal Atif Tiwana enabled Garden Gas/ Guard Rice to win the Nurpur Low Goal polo Cup, beating Nurpur Whites 7- 5 1/2 in the final on Saturday. Nurpur remained in the lead till the third chukker.

The losers, playing with a 1 ½ goal handicap surged ahead with a goal by Feroze Gulzar in the first chukker.

Zeeshan Asaf and Taimur Ali Malik slammed a goal each for the winners.

Both teams scored two more goals, in the second chukker as Whites led 4 1/2-4. Junaid Ahmad and Feroze banged home one goal each for the Whites. Atif struck two for the winners.

In the third chukker, Atif slammed his third while Azam Hayat Noon fired for the losers to retain the lead 5 1/2-5.

But a goal each from Atif and Zeeshan in the fourth chukker turned the table over Whites.

Four goals by Shayan Manzoor and three by Ali Hashim Rizvi helped Harvester/ Punjab Rangers claim third position, crushing Friends 8 1/2-3.

For losers, Aurangzeb Monnoo (2) and Saeed Aslam Khan (1) were the scorers.

Meanwhile, the final of Aibak Cup polo between Bank Alfalah and Lindt Chocolate will be played on Sunday.
