SIALKOT, Feb 22: Family of a gang-rape victim has alleged that Daska Saddar police have declared all the four nominated accused innocent after receiving bribe from them.

Muhammad Din, father of girl ‘A’, told the press that investigation officer SI Rehmat Ali had received bribe from the accused party and rapists were continuously threatening them with dire consequences for reporting the matter to police.

According to the FIR (419/2005), Faisal, Tanvir, Pandari and Gaari had allegedly gang-raped ‘A’ at her house at Ranjhai-Daska on Dec 16, 2005.

When contacted, DPO Tariq Khokhar said the police were ready to conduct probe from another investigation officer.

Showing mistrust on police, the girl’s father has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and Governor Khalid Maqbool to provide them justice.

According to the FIR, four people, including Riaz, Ejaz and Sana Bibi, had abducted a married woman, Nusrat Bibi, from the brick kiln of Nasir Mahaar near Bheelo Mahaar-Daska on Jan 12, 2006.
