Collegiate throwball

KARACHI, Feb 3: The Karachi Board Inter-collegiate girls throwball championship would commence at Abdullah College from Feb 13, says an announcement on Friday.

Teams of 39 colleges including holders, Sir Syed Girls College, have entered in the competition.

This would be followed by the two-day Inter-collegiate girls’ athletics meet which will commence on March 1.

The meet will serve as criteria for selection of Karachi team for the Inter- board athletics meet which is being held at Lahore on March 7 and 8.

Meanwhile, trials to pick Karachi University girls’ tennis and hockey teams for the upcoming Inter-university competition got under way at the campus on Friday.

Punjab University will play host to the three-day tennis event at Lahore from Feb 20 while hockey will take place at Peshawar from Feb 15.
