NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 25: Two policemen were killed by highwaymen in two separate incidents in Bhirya and Lakha areas on Tuesday night. Seven bandits were looting a Peshawar-bound bus on the National Highway near the Kot Bahadur village when a police party from Bhirya during routine patrolling reached there. The bandits opened fire on the police party, killing police mobile driver Zameer Jokhio.

The bandits escaped.

In the second incident, constable Aijaz Solangi and another police official were on patrolling in the Lakha Road town. They saw four armed men in the street and asked them to stop but the accused opened fire in which the constable was killed.

INJURED: One person was injured while foiling a motor snatching bid on Monday.

Three armed men stopped one Ehsan Leghari and tried to snatch his motorcycle but he offered resistance. The dacoits opened fire as a result of which, Ehsan was seriously injured and the dacoits fled leaving the motorcycle.
