KARACHI: Ulema moot gets go-ahead

KARACHI, Jan 24: Sindh Home Minister on Tuesday granted permission for holding a national ulema convention in Karachi and asked officials to ensure all arrangements.

An 11-member delegation of the Ittehad Tanzeematul Madaris Deenia Pakistan called on the home minister at his office and invited him to attend the national ulema convention scheduled at the Jamia Islamia Binnoria Town for Jan 25.

The minister accepted the invitation and said that foreign students could get Islamic education in any Muslim country, but it was an honour for Pakistan that they were coming here.

The delegation comprised Maulana Adil Khan, Mufti Usman Yar Khan, Maulana Abdul Rauf, Maulana G.M. Sialiwi, Maulana Ghulam Dastagir Afghani, Qari Zameer Mansoori, Maulana Imdadullah, Qari Usman, Maulana Mehmood Farooq, Maulana Mehmood Yousafzai and Maulana Afu Shah Haqqani.—PPI
