KARACHI, Jan 19: Hamza Khan’s second half strike propelled Karachi United to a 1-0 victory over Madhu Mohammadan at KASB Premier League soccer on Wednesday.

Madhu Mohammadan could have scored had Zahid Hussain’s penalty kick was not saved by United goalkeeper Obaid Khawaja in the 11th minute. After a barren first half, Hamza found the cage with a free kick in the 49th minute.

In another match, Hyderi Baloch and Young Ansari played a 1-1 draw.

Hameed Afridi grabbed the lead for Young Ansari in the 28th minute, while Mohammad Rustam equalised for Hyderi Baloch two minutes from time.
