KARACHI: Works in Gulshan town reviewed

KARACHI, Jan 17: The Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town administration has decided to construct a drain alongside the Rashid Minhas Road – from Aslam Restaurant to Gulshan roundabout – and the Sir Shah Suleman Road.

This was decided in a meeting presided over by Gulshan Town Nazim Wasay Jalil on Tuesday. Work on the carpeting of service road near Hassan Square and the road leading towards Kiran Hospital from Safura roundabout would start soon, it was said.

The nazim directed concerned officials to get the road leading towards the Super Highway from County Garden carpeted and get leakages in water supply lines at the Aga Khan Flats and UC-12 repaired.

On his visit to the Abul Hasan Isphahani Road, Jalil told officials to immediately place a barrier on the road and install a high mast pole on both gates of the University of Karachi. Officials were also directed to repair leakages in sewerage lines on the University and Rashid Minhas roads.

Meanwhile, around 100 streetlights in various UCs of the

town were also made functional.—PPI
