KARACHI, Dec 14: Five employees suffered burns when a blast occurred at a petrol station in Nazimabad late Tuesday night. Zahid, Tauseef, Waqas, Amir, Khursheed and Bilal suffered burn wounds and were initially sent to the Civil Hospital.

Chief Fire Officer Kazim Ali told Dawn that blast occurred when the driver of a water tanker started the engine of his vehicle at a time when the nozzle of a CNG unit was being detached.

He said fire tenders from the nearby Nazimabad fire station rushed to the spot and started the fire-fighting operation.

The blast created panic in the area.
