By Faisal Quraishi

KARACHI, Dec 5: The KaraFilm Festival continued to attract film buffs from all strata of society on its fourth consecutive day of screening. The gala screening at the Alliance Francaise venue also played the Hollywood feature Pride and Prejudice.

Monday added a new venue, the Iqra University off the Korangi Road Bypass, where reruns of several features, shorts and documentaries are being shown. Also at the PIIA, an insight into the cultural history of comedy in Pakistan and a tribute to Rangeela, Death of Comedy was followed by a question and answer session with director Essa Khan and producer Shaan Taseer.

Earlier, his film Diya Aur Toofan in the prime time slot and Subhash Ghai’s Iqbal and Anupam Kher’s Main Ne Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara in the gala screenings also played to appreciative audiences.
