LONDON, Nov 16: England fast bowler Matthew Hoggard was fined 20 percent of his match fee for breaching the ICC code of conduct during the 22-run loss to Pakistan in the first Test that ended in Multan on Wednesday.
Hoggard was reported for excessive appealing by umpires Simon Taufel and Billy Bowden as he celebrated the dismissal of Pakistan opening batsman Salman Butt on Tuesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a statement.
Each member of the Pakistan team was fined 10 percent of their match fees after the hosts fell two overs short of the minimum number required to be bowled in the time available, with Pakistan captain Inzamamul Haq fined double.—Reuters
