MQM leaders to celebrate Eid with affected people

ISLAMABAD, Nov 3: Mutt-ahida Qaumi Movement MNA Kunwar Khalid Yunus has said party legislators and leaders will celebrate Eidul Fitr in the quake-affected areas of the NWFP and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to express solidarity with victims of the Oct 8 disaster.

Talking to Dawn here on Thursday, Mr Yunus said that the party had assigned duties of MNAs, senators, and ministers in different areas where they would offer Eid prayers and stay with the victims throughout the day.

He said that MQM parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Dr Farooq Sattar and Babar Ghouri would spend the Eid day in Muzaffarabad.

Similarly, he said, Shamim Ahmed Siddiqui and Anwar Alam would visit Balakot on the Eid day; Safwanullah and MNA Khalid Wahab would be in Abbottabad; Adviser to the Sindh chief minister Ashfaq Mangi in Garhi Habibullah; MNA Abid Ali Umang in Battagram; Senator Mohammad Ali Brohi in Mansehra and MNA Nawab Mirza would celebrate Eid in Bagh.

Mr Yunus said that he would celebrate Eid in Rawlakot and MNAs Abdul Wasim and Abdul Kadir Khanzada would offer Eid prayers in the mosque of the Pims.
