PHF suggests date change

Published October 26, 2005

LAHORE, Oct 25: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has suggested to its Indian counterpart to change the dates of their second league from Jan 13, 2006 if they wanted Pakistani players.

The Indian Hockey Confederation (IHC) asked the PHF to recommend eight players, as they did in the last league.

The PHF is unable to fulfil the demand because the dates of the league clash with those of national championship.

The PHF has also sent its activities programme to the IHC.

Last year, eight Pakistanis took part in the Indian inaugural league competition.

In reply, six Indian players featured in the Pakistan’s first league held in Karachi last month.
