PESHAWAR, Oct 24: NWFP’s Senior Minister Sirajul Haq has asked members of the Provincial Cabinet Committee constituted for supervising relief operation in five earthquake affected districts to work with dedication and perseverence for rehabilitation of the affected people.

He was presiding over a meeting of the committee about relief activities in Mansehra on Monday. The meeting reviewed the performance of the committee. The meeting was attended by provincial Health Minister Inayatullah, Food Minister Fazle Rabbani and Social Welfare Minister Hafiz Hashmat Khan.

The minister discussed reports submitted by the cabinet committee. Estimates of damage and casualties and allocation of funds were discussed in detail.

He also asked for close liaison among the federal and provincial governments and army authorities for carrying out relief work in an effective manner.

Law and order, security and infrastructure development issues were also discussed and necessary decisions were taken.
