AOCC in last eight

KARACHI, Oct 14: AOCC became group champions after winning their third successive match of Group A to move into the quarterfinal of the 20th Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan cricket festival 2005 at Karachi Gymkhana Ground on Friday.

Fielding Test players Hasan Raza and Shahid Afridi AOCC beat Malir Gymkhana by five wickets.

Malir Gymkhana, batting first, were bowled out for 172 in 21.4 overs. Khurram Manzoor (37), Abid Hanif (47) and former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif (32) were major contributors.

AOCC reached the target in 20.3 overs for the loss of five wickets. Hasan Raza (44), Nadeem Sheikh (48 not out), Ibrahim Qureishi (31) and Shahid Afridi (30) made sure of their team’s victory.
