MULTAN, Oct 14: Loads of relief goods for the earthquake victims in Azad Kashmir, Northern Areas and Hazara division have been sent on military trucks while the Kot Addu Power Company has donated Rs50 million to the Presidential Relief Fund.

According to a press release, Kapco chief executive Malcolm P. Clampin on behalf of the company contributed the amount to the PRF while another sum of Rs1 million from the staff salaries would also be added to the contribution.

Meanwhile, the Corps 2 headquarters (Multan) have set up collection centres for relief goods in Okara and Sahiwal as well. The relief goods sent to the troubled areas included dry eatables, blankets, tents and clothes.

Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool is scheduled to visit Multan on Wednesday to motivate the local business community to contribute generously to the PRF.
