Faisalabad nazim’s relief fund

FAISALABAD, Oct 9: City district nazim Rana Zahid Tauseef has set up a relief fund for the rehabilitation of the earthquake victims with Rs1 million from his own pocket.

Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, the nazim said the local industrialists should donate generously as the quake victims needed blankets, medicines, food, tents and other articles.

He said he had already contacted the Pakistan Textile Exporters Association, the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other trade bodies for funds.

He said special relief centres would be set up in different parts of the city to motivate the people to take active party in this national duty.
