KARACHI, Oct 3: Seven ships carrying sugar, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where nine ships, Capetan Tassos, Tong Hai and Sifnos Sky to unload DAP fertilizer, Maersk Arizona, Ilse Wulff to unload and load containers, Blue Star to load cement, Long An Cheng, Rockaway Belle to unload and load general cargo, and Harsanadi, to offload oil were berthed after the departure of as many.

The vessels which departed include Iran Baluchistan, Iran Shahryar, Sagamore, Wan Hai-6, Thore Captain, Mearsk Arizona, Wester Muehlen, Ocean Island and Egretta, while Harsanadi, Ilse Wulff and Jaipur are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 97,303 tons comprising 32,014 tons of export cargo and 65,286 tons of import tonnage was handled, which also included 16,845 tons of sugar and 2,698 tons of rice and 2,422 tons of cement.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Hun Jiang, with 12,000 tons of sugar, Wave, with general cargo, APL Jeddah, Ever Guide, with containers, Med Lerici, with machinery, Dover Castle, with steel and Khairpur to load containers.
