Landlord killed on resistance

SIALKOT, Sept 15: A landlord was shot dead by three dacoits on offering resistance at Kot Chadu-Begowala, Sambrial tehsil on Wednesday night. Reports said three gangsters stormed into the house of Muhammad Iqbal Cheema and held hostage his family members at gunpoint. On offering resistance by Mr Cheema, the dacoits opened fire killing him on the spot and took away valuables.

Begowala police have registered a case with no arrest.

Meanwhile, villagers have strongly protested against the killing, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.

POLICE ‘FAILURE’: The Pasrur city police have ‘failed’ to recover two minors who had been abducted some two days back.

Reports said Sarfraz, Muhammad Amjad, Waqas and Nazir had allegedly kidnapped labourer Muhammad Iqbal’s two sons, Sajjad and Hammad when they were playing in front of their house at Muslim colony.
