HYDERABAD: Traders oppose shifting of bank branch


HYDERABAD, Sept 15: The Hyderabad Electronics Dealers Association has condemned the planned shifting of the Muslim Commercial Bank branch from the New Cloth Market to some other location.

At a meeting the association warned that if shifting was not stopped, the business community would withdraw money from the MCB braches and deposit in other banks.

Traders said the builder mafia was constructing multi-storey buildings and plazas without planning. They said the mafia had not provided any space for parking nor made any arrangements for the disposal of sewage.

They quoted the example of Al-Rahim shopping centre where tens of millions of rupees had been spent by traders to provide sewerage system which had been ignored by the builders.—Bureau
