NSC meets today


ISLAMABAD, Sept 7: The National Security Council (NSC) will meet here on Thursday to discuss various important national issues. Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Maulana Fazlur Rehman and NWFP Chief Minister Akram Durrani have decided not to attend the council meeting.

The NSC will review developments following the first official contact between Pakistan and Israel in Istanbul. The council will be briefed on discussions the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Israel had in Turkey.—PPI
