NEW YORK, Sept 4: Top seed Maria Sharapova of Russia reached the last eight at the US Open on Sunday defeating India’s Sania Mirza 6-2, 6-1. Sharapova will next play Russian ninth-seed Nadia Petrova for a place in the semi-finals.—AFP
