262,533 cusecs water released

ISLAMABAD, Sept 3: The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Saturday released 262,533 cusecs water from various rim stations. Overall water inflow at various reservoirs was recorded at 221,333 cusecs.

Water level at Tarbela Dam was 1,548.65 feet, 179 feet higher than the dead level of 1,369 feet. Water inflow at the dam was recorded at 123,800 cusecs while outflow at 165,000 cusecs.

Water level at Mangla Dam was recorded at 1,201.65 feet, which was 161 feet higher than the dead level of 1,040 feet. Water inflow at the dam was 16,903 cusecs against the outflow of 16,903 cusecs.

Contribution of Kabul and Chenab rivers was recorded at 28,200 and 52,430 cusecs, respectively.

Water level at Chashma was recorded at 643.3 feet against the dead level of 637 feet. Water inflow at the dam was 124,551, while the outflow 153,453 cusecs.—APP
