18 railway officials transferred

LAHORE, Aug 31: The Pakistan Railways on Wednesday transferred and posted 18 officers in a major reshuffle. The services of five railway officers were handed over to the PR Advisory and Consultancy Services (PRACS) while the transfer orders of an officer were withdrawn.

Deputy Chief Personnel Officer at the headquarters, Abdul Jabbar Ali, has been made deputy chief operating superintendent (safety).

The services of Deputy COPS (safety) Aabdar Khan has been handed over to the PRACS.

Pakistan Railways Academy, Walton, Joint Director Sardar Ahmad has been made Lahore deputy divisional superintendent.

The services of Deputy DS of Lahore Anzir Ismail Rizvi have been handed over to the PRACS.

Deputy Chief Traffic Manager (Freight) Javaid Anwar has been made the deputy chief traffic manager at the Mughalpura Dryport.

Deputy Chief Traffic Manager (Freight Business Unit) Imtiaz Husain Rizvi will be the deputy chief commercial manager (cargo).

Deputy CCM Amin Khalid has been made the deputy chief traffic manager (FBU).

Karachi Divisional Transport Officer Maqsoodun Nabi will be the divisional traffic manager (Karachi).

Karachi DTM Amin Ali has been made the DTO (Karachi).

Karachi Assistant Commercial Officer Fauzia Khan will be the divisional marketing manager (Karachi).

The services of Karachi DMM Shamim A.Rizvi have been handed over to the PRACS.

Mughalpura DTM Ghulam Dastgir Khan has been directed to report to the PRACS.

PRA, Walton Deputy Director Islam Yousaf Rahman will be the Rawalpindi DTM.

The services of Rawalpindi DTM Aftab Akbar have been handed over to the PRACS.

Deputy CCM (Freight) Abdul Razzaq Shah has been relived of his duty to join NIPA course.

Karachi Assistant Commercial Superintendent Yousaf has been made the deputy CCM (Passenger Business Unit) at headquarters.

Altaf Husain Phulphoto, who joined after availing leave, has been made the deputy chief personnel officer at the headquarters.

Another officer who joined after availing leave, Abdul Rahim Tiwana, will be the PRA deputy director (traffic).

The orders making Deputy Director Marketing Jalil Bangash the director marketing has been withdrawn.

Sources say Javaid Anwar has been posted as the DTM at the Mughalpura dry port after around three years.

Mr Anwar, the then DTM, was transferred from the Mughalpura dry port when an embezzlement of Rs3.6 million was detected there in 2002.

The then assistant commercial officer/assistant transportation officer Zafarullah Khan was compulsorily retired, while goods clerks Azam Baig, Shabbir Ahmad, Anwar Naushad, Kaukab, Aslam, Riaz were dismissed from service.
