Double success for Sarwar

KARACHI, Aug 22: Sarwar Siddiqui chalked out back-to-back victories in the World seniors snooker championship at Manama, Bahrain after struggling in his earlier matches, said a message on Monday.

Sarwar got the better of Walid Hatim of Kuwait 3-1 including the breaks of 40 and 48. He won 64-32, 43-63, 67-23, 66-13.

In his next match, he edged past Del Taylor of Germany 77-42, 63-47, 51-78, 53-38.

Muhammad Yousuf, who is almost assured of a place in the semifinal, beat Frank Schroder of Germany in straight frames. He won 67-28, 52-25, 84-20.

Yousuf is scheduled to clash with Indian Geet Sethi to decide the Group ‘B’ champion.—APP
