Akber to lead KU

KARACHI, Aug 3: Akber Rehman of Islamia Arts and Commerce College has been named to lead a 16-member Karachi University (KU) squad in PCB Inter-university cricket championship for Karachi region.

Team was picked after trials held at UBL Sports Complex, said a KU press release issued on Wednesday.

Squad: Akber Rehman, Shahid Ali Khan, Osama Qureshi, Yair Nafees, Muhammad Akber Khan, Misbahur Rehman (Faculties), Ovais Ali Khan (Islamia Science), Muhammad Ashfaque Shafiq, Kamran Ahmed, Saleem A.Rahim, Syed Mustufa (Islamia Arts/Commerce), Khurram Ibrahim, Raheel Waris (Jinnah College), Arsalan Javed (Govt. Commerce), Syed Azmat Ali (Govt. Physical Education).

KU will take on Hamdard University in the opening match at National Stadium on Friday.—APP
