LAHORE, Aug 1: Four matches were decided on the second day of the Lahore Division basketball championship at the Islamic College, Civil Lines courts on Monday. YMCA Club beat Young Brothers Club in a well contested match 67-59. Shahbaz (20), Sheraz (13) and Usman (12) made major contribution in the YMCA’ win.

For the losers Mashood Mir scored 17 points followed by Umar Butt (11) and Abu Bakar (10).

Don Bosco Club carved out 63-41 win against Young YMCA. Hasan (19), Yasir (17) and Zohaib (16) were the main scorers for the winners.

Asif (15) and Nabeel (11) reduced the margin for the losers.

Government College University Lahore Club moved into the next round beating Eagles Club, Sheikhupura after a thrilling contest 70-67.

For the winners, Nouman (23), Raja (15) and Ibrahim (11) were the main scorers.

Javed (13), Ijaz Bhatti (12) Kashif (12) and Ibrahim (11) were the top scorers for the losers.

Brothers Club outplayed Lahore Club 71-60.

Umar Hayat (22), Tamseel (15) and Farhan (13) were the chief scorers for the winners.

For Lahore Club, Ashfaq (17), Danish (12) and Mudassar (nine) caught the eyes.
