Mehak too strong for Hira

ISLAMABAD, Aug 1: Mehak Khokhar moved into the second round of the Women’s National tennis ranking tournament at the PTF Complex with an easy victory on Monday. Her victim was Hira whom she beat 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the pre- quarterfinal stage. Also moving ahead were Sara Mansoor, Nadeem Manzoor and Zainab Khan.

Sara earned a walkover against Asma while Zainab defeated Ayesha Mansoor 6-3, 6-1 and Nadeem Manzoor scored a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Ifra.

The ladies doubles draw was finalised on Monday with Sara Mahboob and Natasha Afridi being given top seeding. Nida Rahim and Maira Rahim were seeded No. 2.

It is for the first time that the PTF is organising a tournament exclusively for ladies.
