SIALKOT, July 28: Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (Prgmea) has decided to hire foreign consultants in collaboration with Export Promotion Bureau for the advanced packaging and marketing of garment items. Talking to the newsmen on Thursday the Prgmea’s Central Chairman Ijaz A. Khokhar said that Prgmea has also decided to establish ‘mini-training institutes’ in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur, Chawinda, Zafarwal, Shakargarh and Narowal for producing trained and skilled labour force for Sialkot’s value-added garments industry on priority basis. He urged the government to adopt an effective business-friendly diplomacy and discourage the exports of raw materials by focusing on value-addition through motivating the businessmen.
