DERA GHAZI KHAN, July 18: Kidnappers have reportedly demanded Rs5 million ransom for the release of three abducted employees of the Parco. They were abducted some three weeks back while patrolling in the Drahma police station limit to look after the crude oil pipeline. Sources said the Bosan/Mureeda Nookani gang had demanded the ransom amount for the release of Akram, Saeed and Ehsan.
They claimed that the gang had accepted the responsibility of kidnapping more than 10 people, including the three Parco employees.
The incidence of kidnapping for ransom is on rise in the limits of Kot Cchutta and Drahma police stations. After the abduction of Parco men, one Haider Aliani from the jurisdiction of Kot Cchutta police station and one Dhole from the limits of Drahma police station were kidnapped.
Sources alleged that all were in the captivity of the Bosan/Mureeda Nookani gang in Balochistan area, adjacent to the tribal area of Rajanpur. They further claimed that kidnappers had the support of influential people of Bugti and Khetran tribes.
SENSITIVE: As many as 29 polling stations in the district have been declared sensitive.
Reports said the local election commission office had declared 29 polling stations sensitive and recommended high security to avoid any untoward incident.
The polling stations are: union council (urban) no 5, government girls college, education college, Shadan Lond boys school, Kala boys school, Raman boys school, Yaroo Khosa high school, Khakhi boys school, Wadore boys school, Gadai boys school, Paigah boys school, Noorwala boys school, Kot Cchuta boys school, Bandoani boys school, Malana boys school, Notak boys school, Haji Kamand boys school, Choti Bala boys school, Tibbi Qaisrani boys school, Nari Janoobi boys school, Kot Qaisrani girls school, Mangrotha boys school, office of the Sokar union council, Baiwata middle school, Barthi girls high school and Kharer Buzdar boys school.
