Tax treaty

ISLAMABAD, July 18: Pakistan and Switzerland will sign on Tuesday a revised convention on avoidance of double taxation with regard to income and prevention of fiscal evasion between the two countries. An official said the draft was initialled on October 15, 2002 by senior tax officials of the two countries. CBR Chairman M. Abdullah Yusuf and Swiss Ambassador Denis Fledmeyier will sign the agreement on behalf of their respective governments.

The agreement will help increase the flow of foreign direct investment from Switzerland.
