HAFIZABAD, July 14: Qamar Javaid Gujjar, former Kot Nakka union council nazim and former Pindi Bhattian bar president, was shot and injured seriously by his rivals here on Wednesday night. Hafizabad district PML president and MNA Chaudhry Mehdi Hasan Bhatti, MNA Liaquat Abbas Bhatti and provincial Youth and Culture Affairs Minister Shaukat Ali Bhatti condemned the murderous attack on Qamar Javed and called upon the police to arrest the accused immediately.

Meanwhile, lawyers of Hafizabad and Pindi Bhattian on Thursday boycotted courts in protest against the murder attempt on the life of senior advocate Qamar Gujjar. Bar members of both the towns have strongly condemned the incident and urged the Hafizabad DPO to arrest the accused.
