Man killed in attack

SUKKUR, July 12: One person was killed and another was injured when 12 Jakhranis attacked the Shahzad Brohi village with rockets and other weapons on Tuesday. The man killed was identified as Hazoor Bux, son of Abdul Aziz Brohi. The injured, Ghulam Rasool, was taken to the Quetta Civil Hospital in a critical condition.

The incident is said to be the result of a dispute between two groups of Jakhrani and Brohi tribes which started three months ago over the theft of a tractor.

Tension is mounting in the area as the two groups have entrenched against each other.

GUTTED: Five shops were gutted when a fire broke out at Shahi Bazaar in Thull on Tuesday.

The fire broke out when electricity wires fell on the shop of Rajoo Mal which engulfed four other shops. Area people extinguished the fire.

The affected shopkeepers have demanded that Hesco should pay compensation to them.
