KARACHI: Teachers’ contracts extended


KARACHI, July 5: The Sindh government has decided to extend the service contracts of primary school teachers recruited on merit through the Sindh Public Service Commission in the year 2001. In a letter issued by the director SEMIS education department on Tuesday reads as “in order to regularize 3,562 primary school teachers appointed on three-year contract in 2001, since the teachers are working in all districts of Sindh and getting their salaries from their districts, therefore it has been decided that their contract should be extended for suitable time by DCOs with the consultation of SMC’s on the basis of their performance/presence.—PPI
