MOSCOW, July 3: Russia voiced its satisfaction at the Organisation of the Islamic Conference’s decision to grant it observer status, the foreign ministry said late on Saturday.
“Moscow has welcomed with satisfaction this decision, which represents an important stage of realising Russian President Vladimir Putin’s initiative on enlarging cooperation with the Islamic world,” the statement read.—AFP
