Wife of Nisar Khuhro passes away

KARACHI, June 23: Shahnaz Nisar Khuhro, wife of the leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, passed away on Thursday after kidney failure. She was 53. Mrs Khuhro was being treated for kidney ailment at a local hospital. Besides Mr Khuhro, she has left four daughters among the mourners. Mrs Khuhro was daughter of Brig N. A. Ansari.

Her Namaz-i-Janaza was held in Larkana and she was laid to rest in the ancestral graveyard there.

The soyem for the departed soul will be held on June 25 at the Khuhro House, Nazar Road, Larkana, between Asr and Maghrib prayers.

CONDOLENCE: Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto has expressed her profound grief over the demise of Mr Khuhro’s wife on Thursday.

She telephoned Mr Khuhro and offered condolence to him. She prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss, party sources said.

MQM: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has offered condolence over the death of wife of the opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly and PPP leader Nisar Khuhro, reports PPI.

In a condolence message issued from London, Mr Hussain prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this loss.

JI: Jamaat-i-Islami Naib Ameer Senator Ghafoor Ahmed and City Ameer Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui also expressed their profound grief over the death of wife of Nisar Khuhro, opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly.

In a joint statement issued here on Thursday, the JI leaders prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

APTUO: All-Pakistan Trade Unions Organization general secretary S.P. Lodhi and central co-ordinator of the People’s Labour Bureau have expressed condolence on the sad demise of the wife of Nisar Khuhro.
