Dippenaar rides his luck

BRIDGETOWN (Barbados), May 11: Boeta Dippenaar rode the gravy train to his second One-day International hundred to lead South Africa to 284 for six from their allocation of 50 overs in the third one-dayer against West Indies on Wednesday.

Dippenaar hit a dozen boundaries in the top score of 123 from 129 balls, after South Africa were sent in to bat.

Dippenaar added 194 for the second wicket with Jacques Kallis, who made 87, but South Africa lost five wickets for 47 runs inside the last 10 overs to slow their progress.

Dippenaar, however, kept his composure and helped South Africa shake off the setback of losing captain Graeme Smith in the eighth over.

Both teams made one change apiece to their line-ups. For South Africa, Ashwell Prince replaced Justin Ontong, and for West Indies, Xavier Marshall came in for out-of-favour compatriot Wavell Hinds.
