Hasan smashes century

KARACHI, May 3: Hasan Saud smashed a fine unbeaten century to power Dawood Sports to an exciting three-wicket victory over New United Gymkhana in the KCCA Centenary Inter-club cricket tournament at the latter’s ground on Monday. Hasan hit seven fours and two sixes to emerge as the star player for his team. Dawood Sports reached the target for the loss of seven wickets with six balls remaining.

New United Gymkhana, batting first, collected 256 for eight in their 40 overs. Ahsan Khan made 55 with five fours.

In the other match at Mansoora ground, Al-Noor Gymkhana overwhelmed Sun CC by 193 runs thanks to a fine all-round show by Zeeshan Pasha.

Zeeshan first hit 36 and later captured four for 20 with his medium pacers. Ashfaq Shafi made 74 with the aid of eight boundaries for winners.
