PESHAWAR, May 3: Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed called on NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani here and discussed matters of mutual interest. During the meeting they agreed that the peace process between Pakistan and India should continue for the progress and prosperity of the region.

They were of the opinion that peace should be given a chance in the region.

Mr Durrani said people supported the peace process and it was evident from the enthusiasm shown by them during the recent cricket series.

He said that people of Pakistan had given a rousing welcome to the national cricket team after its triumph in India.

The chief minister said the NWFP government had extended hospitality whenever the Indian team came to this part of the country.

He added that the people and the government of the province gave a warm welcome to the New Delhi Cricket Association during the recent Dosti cricket series.—APP
