MMA holds protest rally

OKARA, April 29: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal held a protest rally at the Venus Chowk here on Friday against the Punjab Home department permission for conversion of Venus Cinema into a theatre hall.

The participants of the rally were holding placards demanding the cancellation of the Home department permission.

MMA’s local leaders, including its district president Dr Capt (R) Liaqat Ali Kusar, Syed Ghazanfar Ali Nabvi, and others claimed the proposed theatre hall would promote obscenity.

The also condemned mistreatment of JUI leader Maulana Samiul Haq during his foreign tour as a member of a parliamentary delegation.
