PESHAWAR, April 28: A three-day jirga being organized by the Jamaat-i-Islami will begin here at Al Markaz-i-Islami on Friday. Tribesmen including elders from seven agencies and six frontier regions (FRs) have been invited to the event to highlight problems of tribal areas, said a press release issued here on Thursday.

Delegates will discuss various issues and problems concerning the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, including violation of human rights and military operation in certain parts of tribal areas, and recommend judicial and administrative reforms for the region.—Bureau
