Stallions overcome Tigers in crucial tie
LAHORE, April 27: Leg-spinner Adeel Malik bagged a four-wicket to guide Sialkot Stallions to a nine-wicket win over Multan Tigers in a crucial Pool ‘B’ fixture of the ABN Amro Twenty20 Cup at the Qadhafi Stadium here on Wednesday. Adeel conceded just 15 runs during his outstanding spell as Multan Tigers, batting first, were dismissed for 110 in 18.2 overs with Yasir Arafat being the top scorer with 32.
The Stallions reached their target by scoring 112 for one wicket in 13 overs. Bilal Hussain (34 with five fours) and Shahid Yousuf (32) were the key scorers.
The result left all three teams in this pool — Lahore Eagles are the other side – with a chance of qualifying for the next stage since each side won one match.
