Petacchi triumphs
GENEVA, April 27: Italy’s Alessandro Petacchi won the first stage of the Tour de Romandie ProTour stage race on Wednesday. Petacchi beat Tom Steels of Belgium and Andre Korff of Germany in a sprint finish.
Thursday’s second stage is over 172km around the town of Fleurier.—Reuters
