KARACHI, April 27: The Karachi Nuclear Power Plant (Kanupp) has asked the KWSB to ensure uninterrupted supply of water to the plant in accordance with the approved quota, as it was essential for its safety and reliability. In a letter sent to the KWSB managing director, a senior official of the Kanupp stated that the Karachi Nuclear Power Complex had been facing acute water shortage for the last 20 days.
Supporting his contention, the official pointed out that the average supply received by the plant during the last 20 days was merely 20,093 gallons per day against its approved daily quota of 1,25,000 gallons.
He urged the KWSB managing director to personally look into the matter and help solve the problem by directing concerned officials to ensure adequate water supply to the Kanupp according to the approved quota.
