By Our Correspondent

GUJRANWALA, April 24: Traders observed shutdown strike here on Sunday against the killing of PML secretary-general and Anjuman Tajiran president Sheikh Zulfikar Ali Cheeniwala. At a condolence meeting held on GT Road, heads of trade organizations and PML activists expressed their anguish and sorrow over the murder of their leader and demanded early arrest of killers.

They said traders and party activists were feeling insecure after the incident.

Meanwhile, city Nazim Babu Javed Ahmad condemned the murder and said traders and the party were deprived of a devoted and sincere leader.

The participants demanded security for political leaders and traders’ representatives in markets.

Meanwhile, District Police Officer Dr Arif Mushtaq assured that killers would be arrested soon as various teams were conducting raids.
