Woman shot dead by her brothers

JACOBABAD, April 23: A woman was gunned down by her brothers on the pretext of karo-kari in the jurisdiction of Garhi Khairo police station on Friday. Hameedan, 25, wife of Munir Hussain Langah, was at her house when her brothers, Yousuf and Pathan, opened fire on her and fled from the spot. She died instantly.

Her body was shifted to the Civil Hospital of Jacobabad for post-mortem.

Munir Langah, the husband of the deseased woman, has lodged an FIR with the Garhi Khairo police against Yousuf and Pathan.

TRUCK CATCHES FIRE: A truck loaded with household items caught fire due to falling of electricity wires near the Station Road, Thul, on Friday.

The truck carrying family members, along with household items, was heading towards Kandhkot, but it caught fire on its way due to electricity wires.

The family members, including women and children, saved their lives by jumping from the truck.

All the household articles and two cows, two buffalos, three goats and two donkeys were burnt. Two persons, Rahamdil Sabzoi and Soomar Sabzoi were injured.
