ISLAMABAD, April 17: The Pakistan People’s Party Azad Kashmir has decided to observe a black day on April 21 to protest against the arrest of a large number of party workers and legislators on the arrival of Asif Ali Zardari in Lahore. Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, PPP Azad Kashmir Secretary-General Chaudhry Mohammad Yasin said leaders and workers of the party would stage a token hunger strike, hold protest rallies, stage sit-ins and wear black armbands to condemn the Punjab government’s action.
He claimed that the PPP leaders and workers had been detained by the Punjab police in different jails including those in Lahore, Gujranwala, Jhelum and Dina.
