HYDERABAD, April 17: The Jeay Sindh Mahaz-Junejo has criticized the division of Hyderabad on ‘ethnic lines’. Speaking at the 28th national congress at the press club, party chairman Abdul Khaliq Junejo said the people of Sindh would have to differentiate between patriotic and opportunist leadership. He said had all the Sindhis been patriotic, honest and brave, Sindh would not have suffered since the inception of Pakistan.
Mr Junejo said the people of Sindh could get their rights only if they waged a resolute struggle.
He said the people of Sindh would have to launch a struggle with the help of oppressed nations of the world for achieving their rights.
He said that the Sindhi leadership was equally responsible for the sufferings of Sindh because it did not play any role in capacity building of Sindhis.
Mr Junejo said the feudal system was the worst enemy of development and added that Sindh was being destroyed by criminals and terrorists.
He called upon the Sindhi nation to wage a relentless struggle against feudal lords and terrorists.
He alleged that Sindh was being administered as a colony of Pakistan and its economic resources had been usurped in the name of one country.
He said all the decisions by the state were being taken to protect the interests of Punjab.
Condemning the division of Hyderabad district, Mr Junejo said the decision was based on malafide intensions because demarcation had been done to appease feudal lords and terrorists.
The general secretary of the National Workers Party, Mr Yousuf Masti Khan, termed the MMA and ARD as anti-people alliances.
He said the only aim of the alliances was to reach the corridors of power by any means. Aman Shaikh, Ayaz Memon, Barkat Jatoi and Khan Mohammad Bhayo spoke on the occasion.
