Transport shortage

By Our Correspondent

SIALKOT, April 16: Hundreds of people, including women and children, remained stranded at bus and wagon stands on Saturday as administration impounded public transport.

People in Sialkot, Daska, Bhopalwala, Sambrial, Uggoki, Pasrur, Badiana, Chawinda, Satrah and surrounding rural areas had to suffer owing to non-availability of transport as the district administration impounded vehicles in a bid to bar PPP workers from reaching Lahore to welcome Asif Zardari.

The affected people strongly condemned the district government for the action, besides chanting anti-government slogans at a few places. Traffic police officials said that this situation would persist for another two days.
