KARACHI, April 16: The University of Karachi on Saturday announced the results of BCom Part-II/Both Parts annual exams 2004, taken by both regular and external candidates.
Students of the Govt. College of Commerce and Economics secured the three top positions.
Marium Sarwar Khan d/o Mohammad Sarwar Hafeez Khan seat no 10367 stood first by securing 1,137 marks, Nida Rasheed d/o Rasheed Ahmed Zia seat no 10428 got second position by securing 1,123 marks and Shazia d/o Mir Ghulam Jabir seat no 10535 clinched the third position by securing 1,121 marks.
According to statistics of the result, over 20,913 candidates registered themselves with the KU exams department, of which 19,685 appeared and 1,132 were declared successful in first division. Around 4,457 candidates were declared passed in 2nd division and 417 managed to clear the exams in 3rd division. The pass percentage remained 30.51 per cent.
KU exams department also withheld the results of 47 candidates for incomplete enrolment or registration, 99 for using unfair means and two for recovery of fine.—PPI
