HYDERABAD: Declamation contest held

HYDERABAD, April 15: A declamation contest on “life and works of Allama I.I. Qazi” was organized by the Institute of Business Administration, University of Sindh, on Friday to pay homage to founder vice-chancellor of the university in connection with the founder’s week celebrations 2005. Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui presided over the declamation contest. He said the youth must study the great scholar’s philosophy and his lectures delivered during his life time.

He said I.I. Kazi’s philosophy was to live for others and serve the community to the best of one’s ability.

He said Allama I.I. Kazi was like a beacon light to teachers and students and people from all walks of life.

He said Allama I.I. Kazi was a visionary and a revolutionary who had dedicated his entire life in the promotion of education.

He appreciated speeches delivered by students eulogising the services of the great teacher.

Prof Asif Ali Kazi said Allama Sahib after the establishment of the university first of all set up department of education and hired the services of teachers of the calibre of Dr N.A. Baloch, Dr N.B.G. Kazi and Dr Halepoto.
